Walking and Cycling the Forth and Clyde Canal in stages

Stage 1 - Bowling to Dalmuir

This stage can be walked in either direction and by taking a train and then walking back. It is approximately 6 km walk I believe.  Parking is available on the main street in Bowling and it is possible to walk down to the station from there.  At Dalmuir station the canal crosses the main road. You can access the station from the main road.
